Un ballo in maschera
Nash’s soprano is blessed with a full tone, strength, vibrancy and feeling, and her performance is truly exceptional.
Enigmatic, controversial and intensely absorbing, the history behind Un Ballo in Maschera is worthy of an opera in itself. Censored, rewritten, prey to political machinations and legal wranglings the final version achieved immediate success for its fascinating plot, soaring melodies and powerful characters.
For this new production, West Green House Opera were delighted to welcome back director Richard Studer, conductor Jonathan Lyness and soprano Rebecca Nash who worked together on our highly applauded 2015 production of ‘Ariadne auf Naxos’.
