Played before the old facade dating back into the last days of the 17th Century, West Green House Opera, in the perfect setting, dips for the first time into our earliest music with an Evening of Early English Music and Opera with supper prepared by West Green House’s chef and wines from our cellar.
Late afternoon Concert in the Theatre Lawn Pavilion.
Miriam Allan, the soprano who so beguiled the country with her singing at the funeral of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, will be joined by Britain’s most celebrated lutenist Elizabeth Kenny to present an idyllic selection of English lute songs.
A two-course dinner with wine in the Greenhouse followed by….
Evening Concert in the Theatre Lawn Pavilion: Purcell, A Moste Pleasante Evening of Musike of Damsels, Fairies & Legends.
Acclaimed conductor and harpsichordist Christopher Bucknall and his performers present a magical concert of music taken from Purcell’s masterpieces including The Fairy Queen and King Arthur. An ensemble of specialists performing on period instruments are joined by four outstanding singers to bring you some of the great English composer’s most beautiful music.
