West Green House Opera are delighted to announce the world class cast for our forthcoming productions of Cav & Pag
Cavalleria Rusticana

Leading the cast in Cavalleria Rusticana will be Russian tenor Alexey Dolgov, fresh from playing Števa Buryja in Janáček’s Jenůfa at Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, as Turiddu and British Australian Soprano Samantha Crawford, making her West Green debut as Santuzza. Mezzo-sopranos Sarah Pring and Angharad Lyddon (Larina and Olga, Eugene Onegin 2021) return to our Theatre on the Lake playing Mama Lucia and Lola. Baritone George von Bergen, seen prolifically at ENO and Opera Holland Park also returns to West Green as Alfio.
Pagliacci

Our Pagliacci cast are equally classy. Described by Rupert Christiansen in The Daily Telegraph as ‘show-stopping’, Trinidadian tenor Ronald Samm brings us the all the drama playing the jealous husband Canio. Soprano Jenny Stafford who played Tatyana for us in Eugene Onegin (Oh that letter scene!) returns as the leading lady Nedda. Her lover Silvio will be played by award-winning baritone Thomas Chenhall, performing at West Green for the first time. Also making his West Green debut will be tenor Lawrence Thackeray as Beppe the clown. A regular at Royal Opera House, ENO and Opera Holland Park, Australian baritone Grant Doyle completes this stellar cast as Tonio.
